Dina Rovere, VMD

Veterinarian

Dr. Dina Rovere began her education at Bucknell University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a minor in biology. She continued her studies in chemistry and math at Temple University School of Pharmacy and began her career as a pharmacist.

While working in pharmacy, Dr. Rovere realized she was spending more time counseling pet owners about their animals than counseling human patients. That experience inspired her to pursue veterinary medicine. She supported herself through veterinary school while working at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Pharmacy and earned her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in May 1992.

After veterinary school, Dr. Rovere worked at Absecon Veterinary Hospital, where she discovered a strong interest in surgery. She went on to complete an internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City, gaining valuable experience in surgery, exotic pet care, and emergency medicine.

Dr. Rovere later joined Garden State Veterinary Specialists as an emergency clinician. She continues to work with interns there once a week and enjoys seeing the growth that young veterinarians experience during their internship year.
